In the far northwest of Baranja, in the shadow of ancient willows, water lilies surrounded by cane fields, allways slightly lumpy surface water, green and clean, meanders Stara Drava Repnjak. It's the old part of the river Drava, which was created by regulation of its flow and became a closed ecological system. These days, Repnjak can only be connected with river Drava in periods of high water. Because it's a closed ecological system it attracts many sorts of birds, swans, wild geese and white herons are the most common you will see. For our local population and fishermen it is a place of rest and peace.
