Geocache Description:

This is a particularly difficult traditional cache in the middle of Blackrock. The cache is well disguised and will require a planned strategy to retrieve.

This cache is in a pleasant little park in the heart of Blackrock – sometimes referred to as Temple Park. The park is rarely used but well maintained and so is in great condition. Many people drive past this park every day, but hardly ever stop to take a look around. That’s the pleasant part.
The cache itself however is not so easy… as it is all about strategy and may require a second visit for the unseasoned cacher. The trick with this cache is not how you get to the general location, but how will you retrieve the cache itself at ground zero. And then it gets worse… the trickier part is how will you replace the cache in its original location. One saving grace is that your search efforts should be partly obscured from the nearby muggles on Newtown Avenue – but not the other streets in the area… so timing is everything here.

The cache container is camouflaged, cunning and about 2 inches in length… but will give you a good laugh when you find it. Avoid going for this cache at busy times of the day. The terrain rating is accurate and is a hint in itself. Cachers are encouraged to share their strategies for retrieval in their logs, but please do not post photos of the cache container.

Parking is on Temple Park Avenue or on the circular drive-through of the nearby bottle bank.
