This is one of several caches placed in this state park in conjunction with I Love My Park Day held on May 5, 2012. This was a statewide effort to improve and enhance New York's parks and historical sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. You can read more about I Love My Park Day here.
Larra-Three and I met with the park ranger in mid-March to scout out some areas for our planned new caches. We started walking through the Frisbee golf area looking for a good place, when we saw this access road (park vehicles only, although you can walk) leading towards the lake. Walking down it, we found the perfect spot for a “larger” sized cache.
