This cache stands in recognition of a local celebrity's mega milestone. He needs no introduction; he's been collecting ca$he from you for years! Occasionally he'll even give you some ca$he back, too. What a guy!
Set in Rockefeller State Park's primary section, you could walk a mile (or more!) to this place if you travel from Taxman's contributions in Rockwood, but it's not required to do so. Either way you approach it, I'm pretty sure you won't find any "mile" stone bigger than this along the way. There used to be a cache here years ago, but it quickly archived and has not been found since. You are now looking for a camo-painted lock-n-lock bearing permit # RSPP-20 hidden nearby.
Closest free parking is on Sleepy Hollow Road. Alternatively, you could park at the Visitor's Center for $6 and tell the staff how much you love geocaching here. The park is open dawn-dusk. Watch for people riding horseback and keep your dogs on a leash. Stick to the trails; no bushwhacking required. Cache In Trash Out, if you can.
Have Fun!
