In order to solve this puzzle, you need to play Southern New York's version of the Battleship game! There are 100 traditional caches in the game grid. The Submarine is hidden somewhere within the game grid. Find any of the HITS for this ship and collect the partial coordinates. Fint the 3 HITS to sink the submarine and you will have the complete coordinates to find this cache.
Visit one of the game grid traditional caches, such as Battleship A-1 to get started.
Battleship Geocaching Game:
There are 5 ships of various sizes hidden on a 10x10 grid (100 total grid locations). Each grid location is identified by a letter (A-J) and a number (1-10). Similar to the board game Battleship, you are seeking to find geocaches at each grid location, but also discovering HITS and ultimately collecting coordinates to solve each ships puzzle cache.
There are 17 HITS in the entire game grid. Game grid caches are all traditional, small in size and will be a difficulty of 1-2 and a terrain of 1-3. HIT and coordinate info will be within the cache container.
All the caches (including the puzzles) are hidden in the Hudson Valley region. There are First to Find prizes in each puzzle cache and a special First to Find for the final.
