A small lock and lock placed on a shoulder of California Hill.
This cache is the third in a series of caches in the California Hill MUA placed at or near the tops of hills. This one is a small lock and lock placed on the ridge that leads away from the summit of California Hill. There is no trail, but the forest along the ridge is open and the bushwhacking is relatively easy. The cache is placed close to the boundary of the MUA so as to be near the top of the ridge. You may see "No Trespassing" signs on the hill marking the boundary with private land, but you should have no difficulty staying to the east of the signs and within the MUA. The views from the ridge to West, South, and East were spectacular on the March afternoon when the cache was placed. The most direct access to the cache is via Wayawanda Ct. There is dirt road (blocked by gate) that will get you to the top of the hill. From there you will have slightly more than 1/2 mile bushwhack to GZ.
