This area is mapped as four corners – and you can see from a map view that there really aren’t any more. But this westbound exit leads into the frontage road to the entrances of all the ridges cut off by Route 1, so 4 corners is as good a name as any. This is also another example of a road that hasn’t yet died, since locals are still creating their own entrance onto the highway where the constructors didn’t provide one.
"Over and Under (and Not so Much)" … The Caches!
The face of many areas has been changed by modern transportation. In our quest to get there faster and more efficiently, we often take the high road and high speed – and we miss a lot along the way. This Series celebrates both where we are and where we have been, and the way things used to be…along Route 1 in southern NB.
Each cache in the series is named after a cacher who successfully solved the original puzzle at placement – or, after the 10th of March, 2012 (the VI Ides of March Event), any cacher who has completed all of the caches in the Series may request that a remaining unnamed cache in the series be named for them.
