Geocache Description:

Another Puzzle Cache for the 2011-2012 Come Out and Play (COAP) Winter Challenge! The cache is not at the posted coordinates. The final is a peanut butter jar filled w/goodies. BYOP To find this cache, solve the six questions below that are based on the Canadian Music Awards or Juno.

Pierre Elliot Trudeau wanted a vibrant Canadian Music Industry, so in 1971 he got the CRTC to pass the CANCON law. Basically Canadian radio stations had to play a minimum of 25% Canadian Content, as the singer, songwriter, or producer had to be Canadian or produced in Canada by or for a Canuck! In the beginning our national stars included Gordon Lightfoot, Anne Murray, Paul Anka, and the Guess Who. These artists in MHO were overplayed but it did spawn the vibrant music industry of today; Avril Levine, Nickelback, Michael Buble and of course teen sensation Justin Bieber!! To celebrate the Canadian Music Industry achievements, we have the JUNO Awards named after Pierre Juneau, the first head of the Canadian Radio-Television Commission. Juneau was instrumental in establishing Canadian content regulations for broadcasters, to promote Canadian artists.

The cache is hidden at N 45’ 55.CAN W 066 44.CON

where: C = the last digit in the year CTV started broadcasting the JUNOs.

A = One year there were no awards presented. Subtract 1 from the last digit.

N = Add the two digits for the total wins by Celine Dion.

C = the number of wins for Bryan Adams minus 12.

O = the number of wins by the Guess Who.

N = the number of times William Shatner has been chosen to be the host of the JUNOs.

Good luck and may the JUNOs be with you.
