Kąpielisko "Starganiec" zostało utworzone w latach siedemdziesiątych, jako ośrodek sportowo-wypoczynkowy dla pracowników Huty "Baildon".
W latach swojej świetności, było tu gwarno, na samej plaży trudno było znaleźć wolne miejsce na koc, czy ręcznik, a w kąpielisku znajdowało się tyle ludzi na raz, że nie można było pływać.
Niestety Starganiec podzielił los swojego sąsiada "Radoszowy".
Ciekawostką jest to że po drugiej stronie stawu powstała pierwsza i jak dotąd jedyna w Katowicach plaża nudystów.
Przecinające las szlaki zachęcają do spacerów i wycieczek rowerowych.
Ponieważ w kąpielisku wciąż znajduje się woda, kesza postanowiliśmy umieścić wewnątrz opuszczonego budynku.
UWAGA: Prosimy zachować ostrożność wewnątrz budynku. W podłodze są dziury!
"Starganiec" was created in the seventies, as a center for sports and recreation for employees of Huta "Baildon".
In its heyday, there were loud, on the beach it was hard to find a free place on a blanket or towel, and bathing were so many people at once, that it was not possible to swim.
Unfortunately Starganiec shared the fate of its neighbor "Radoszowy"...
It is interesting that on the other side of the pond was the first and so far the only nudist beach in Katowice.

Because there is still water in pool, cache is placed in abandoned building.
NOTE: Please be careful inside the building. There are holes in the floor!
