This is one of a series of caches to celebrate the Great Western Railway, affectionately known as 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This is your chance to release your inner 'anorak' and go trainspotting, feel free to wear that 'Parka' that's been hanging in the wardrobe for decades!
The original Brunel Slade viaduct was built in 1849, having stone pillars and a wooden spanning structure, this was obviously quite quick to perish, so a new all stone structure was built in 1893 adjacent to the original. It stands impressively at 101 feet high.
