beemerdon: After a nine year run and 27 favorite points this cache has gone missing and can not be replaced as work crews have cleared out the area of all cover. Maybe I can think of another unique cache and find a place back here to hide it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the northeast corner of the North Carolina Welcome Center. Turn in at the dumpsters, turn right, and you can drive to within about sixty feet of the cache. **PLEASE REPLACE THE TOP CAP GENTLY SO THE NEXT CACHER CAN REMOVE IT EASILY; THANKS!**

If you are a Premium Member you will notice there is another cache at this welcome center. It is my favorite kind, an ammo can in the woods. After finding this one just pull forward to the refreshment stand and follow the fenceline. If you are not a Premium Member yet, I encourage you to join and reap all the benefits of a full membership, starting with my other cache here at this location. BYOP. There is a gravel road to the right of the dumpsters that will take you the last little way to the cache with only minimal walking in some woods. Enjoy the cache and your time in North Carolina!
