O Calhau da Lapa é um pequeno oasis na Freguesia do Campanário, que usufrui de tranquilidade e águas cristalinas para um mergulho no Atlântico. Existem algumas casas de apoio e um conjunto de grutas escavadas em camadas de piroclastos, que se notam entre rochas basálticas.
Um pequeno desembarcadouro, com muitas versões diferentes ao longo dos anos, vai resistindo à destruição imposta pela força do mar desde 1909. Para Oeste, perto da costa encontra-se o ilhéu do Campanário, que com a sua forma peculiar parecida a um sino deu nome à freguesia. Para completar os atrativos deste belo local, uma cascata grandiosa, com cerca de 90 metros, termina perto da foz da Ribeira da Lapa.
Atenção: A apanha da lapa viva é proibida entre 1 de Dez e 28 de Fevereiro.
A Cache: A partir do estacionamento indicado, um pequeno caminho permite aceder ao Calhau da Lapa, num percurso com cerca 1km de extensão e 200 metros de desnível. Os primeiros 600 metros são mais ou menos planos e nos últimos 400 metros existe cerca de 150 metros de desnível para descer. Não se esqueça que o regresso é pelo caminho inverso, com a dificuldade extra de ser a subir.
No caminho esteja atento ao GPS, siga as coordenadas até ao Stage 1, onde deve recolher as coordenadas da localização final da cache. Volte a colocar tudo como encontrou e não se esqueça, pode estar a ser observado por pessoas estranhas ao jogo. Seja discreto na procura.
No calhau, usufrua do local, e se tiver tempo e o mar estiver bom, mergulhe no atlântico. Para descobrir a cache, na aproximação final tem de progredir um pouco por cima de grandes blocos, com o máximo cuidado. Por existir muitos locais semelhantes, é importante ter o spoiler - explore com a mão no local assinalado!
Para descobrir a cache não precisa de remover pedras, é uma cache normal, fixa numa pedra que suporta um grande bloco de cor clara (não precisa de entrar na cavidade por baixo do grande bloco).
Não tente encontrar esta cache quando as condições climatéricas forem adversas. No período de verão seja discreto, pois o “Oasis” recebe muitos banhistas.

At pebble beach, enjoy the place and if you have time and the sea is good, dip in the Atlantic Ocean. To find the cache, the final approach you must progress a little over large blocks, with maximum care.
Because there are many similar places, it´s important to have the spoiler (explore with the hand on the spot indicated). To find the cache you dont need to remove stones, is a regular cache, fixed on a stone, which supports a large light color block (no need to go in the cavity under the large block).
