JARDIM FRANÇA BORGES / JARDIM DO PRÍNCIPE REAL

PT:
Jardim municipal, assim denominado em homenagem ao jornalista republicano França Borges, dispõe de uma área de 1,2 ha. Também conhecido por Jardim do Príncipe Real, tem parque infantil, estatuária, restaurante com esplanada, bebedouro, um lago central e instalações sanitárias para animais.
Plantado entre 1859 e 1863, destaca-se o monumental e secular Cedro-do-Buçaco, com mais de 20 metros de diâmetro, ex-libris do jardim. Existem ainda três quiosques, dois dos quais com utilização esporádica e outro com serviço de cafetaria. No subsolo do jardim encontra-se o Reservatório de Água da Patriarcal construído entre 1860 e 1864, que faz parte do Museu da Água da EPAL.

Uma cache tradicional que o Jardim França Borges já merecia uma vez que tem dois recordes ibéricos.

Municipal garden, named in honor of the republican journalist França Borges, has an area of ​​1.2 ha. Also known as Jardim do Príncipe Real, has a playground, statues, restaurant with terrace, drinking fountain, a lake and central health facilities for animals.
Planted between 1859 and 1863 highlights the monumental and secular Cedro-do-Buçaco, with more than 20 feet in diameter, ex-libris of the garden.
