Geocache Description:

This cache is named after the character “Rock Biter” in the 1984 movie “The NeverEnding Story”. When you look at this small mountain from the Southeast, it looks just like this character. It was a great movie that I remember from when I was a kid. Maybe it’ll rank in your Netflix list and take you for a walk down memory lane.

The cache is placed up in the “face” of Rock Biter. You are looking for a peanut butter jar w/ some green tape around it and a red top. You’ll have to look for it a bit. Despite the colors it blends in pretty well. GZ is about a mile off the road. There is a dirt access road that cuts off of Meadow Grove Road. Walk to the access road and then hike up the rest. The gravel “road” goes about ¾ of the way, but be aware, it’s very loose rock. We have climbed this from both a North and a South approach, so it’s doable. Our 12yr old made the hike up from the South, but it’s probably not a hike for small kids.
