Geronimo lived on Fort Sill Military Reservation as a POW from 1894 until is death in 1909. He tended a small farm northeast of the fort and was also enlisted as a private in the US Indian Scouts of the 7th Cavalry. Today, February 17th, is the anniversary of Geronimo's death. Visit his gravesite on Fort Sill near Lawton, OK.

Geronimo, one of the most famous prisoners of war in American History, is buried in the main Apache Cemetery near where he and his people first camped upon arriving at Ft. Sill in 1894. To claim this cache, visit Geronimo's gravesite and e-mail me the plot number. The plot number is not noted on Geronimo's marker but may be deduced from the nearby markers. Don't post the answer here, even if encypted.

All of these sites are open to the public, but due to the heightened security, be prepared to have your car searched as you enter Ft. Sill. Enter Ft. Sill at the Key Gate exit from I-44 (exit 41).
BTW - Does anyone know why paratroopers shout Geronimo! before they jump from the plane?
