Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Great Outdoors. This area is a hidden gem of nature. Once you're done caching, please enjoy the rest of the trails and areas. Please remember this is a nature preserve so treat it as such. CITO would be greatly appreciated.

My wife came here as a child so it was obvious for us to share this nature's gem with our kids. We became members and my daughter loves the animals especially Bigfoot and the surrounding trails. So much so that we even had her birthday party here. I fell in love with the trails. Woodfrog pond was my daughter's favorite part of the trails. Sometimes we would bring snacks and sit by the pond listening to the frogs, during warmer weather months of course. Then she would try to spot them on the banks, under brush or on logs. Afterward we would finish our days hike enjoying the great outdoors.

Greenburg has memberships and day passes for their indoor exhibits for a fee. Walking the grounds and trails however are always free from dawn until dusk. There is no fee for parking and no fee to reach this cache.

This cache is hidden just off of the Forest Trail. You can find an enterance just pass the bald eagle exhibit. If you make your way to Woodfrog Pond, you have made your way to GZ. There are a few ways to get to the cache location. Some are easier than others depending on the season and/or weather, please use judgement.

The cache container is camoed black. It is slightly larger than a small but not as big as a regular. I'll let you decide. The cache does hold a log book, some writing implements, foreign currency and a bunch of trade items. Please rehide as well or better than you found it. There is also $1 for FTF.
