The Blacklane Brook is a major tributary of the River Ermie and joins it not far from the Ermie head. It starts in the north just south of Fox Tor and its valley was used extensively for tin mining, there being the remains of a blowing house not far from this cache.
This is a very remote cache being 3.7km from the nearest road and is in one of the most remote places on the southern moor.
I would like to thank the Dartmoor Park Authority for their kind permission to place this cache.
