As you are all aware, I'm very keen on getting new caches placed in remote places on Dartmoor and this cache is there to encourage you to do so.
But, I am not allowed to insist on you placing a cache, as that is against the Challenge Cache rules, but I can encourage you to!
In order to claim a find on this cache, you must either place a new cache on Dartmoor, at least 2km from any road, or find 2 caches at least 3km from any road.
Existing caches placed or found do not qualify, they must be new placements or new finds.
This cache is 4km from any road, so if you place your new cache within 2km of it, then that will definitely count. You may place your cache on the same trip as you find this cache, but please write a note to say that you have placed it.
If you have never placed a cache before, or not a remote one, do not be daunted it is not very difficult and I will be placing some guidelines on our new web site to help you. You will also find our local reviewer Lindinis to be very helpful and approachable and I'm sure that he will also be able to help you if needed.
