Geocache Description:

Muddy Creek is a veritable water bird haven.

*** FTF Honours go to Team Unibolt and Jonignite ***

From where the cache nestles you can take a short stroll out onto the bridge to look across to Muddy Lake.

A host of water birds roost in the trees around this lake and can be seen on the waters of the lake.
Late afternoon is an excellent time of day to see lots of birds.

Muddy Lake Woodlands, Dora Creek, are of high conservation value due to many breeding colonies of water birds.

These wetlands are on crown land and currently unmanaged. It is a SEPP-14 wetland - STATE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING POLICY NO 14--COASTAL WETLANDS

The vegetation type is mainly Swamp Oak Forest which is an Endangered Ecological Community.

The cache container is avian in nature.

The overall difficulty has been put quite high due to the very busy nature of this road.
