Geocache Description:

The cache was placed to coincide with Coming Of Age 4 event (GC39DZP). One of ACWA caches linked to local walks.

This is another in a series of caches created by ‘A Coventry Way Association’. The association was formed to promote a long distance footpath, A Coventry Way, and to support local authorities in the path’s maintenance. Our primary aim was to encourage people to discover and use the local countryside. A book of 21 Circular Walks was produced, broadly based on the main walk. Our long-term plan is to set out a series of caches, located on or near each of the 21 walks. See (visit link) for further information.

Situated on a footpath between the villages of Bubbenhall and Ryton-On-Dunsmore. This is a section where A Coventry Way and Centenary Way share the same route. Over the fields, beyond the River Avon, is the business park bordering Coventry Airport. Nowadays, it is mainly small private planes which will be circling overhead.

The cache is a small lock&lock style container, containing a few goodies and a logbook. It is located towards the end of walk 8, which starts from a lay-by at N52 20.813 W001 28.106, though there is daytime parking nearer the cache at Bubbenhall Village Hall (N52 21.106 W001 28.012).
