A nice hike near Hidden Lake; an area just outside the Village of Carp. The cache is off the main trail a bit; on a side trail of sorts (the side trail is a small loop coming back to the starting point on the main trail). You may end up having to bushwhack a bit if you don't know the area, but nothing too serious.
My first cache hide. :-) Not really much to say other than it is a quick hike into the forest (like 10 minutes if you hit the right trails). I guess the nice benefit of this cache is your introduction to Hidden Lake and it's trails. In the summer, stick to the East side of the lake as the West side does not really have much in the trail department. In the winter, there are ski and snowshoe trails galore. There used to be two caches in this forest, but they were muggled, so this is the first attempt to bring this part of the world back to Geocaching.
This cache is dedicated to the first cache I tried to find. (it was not to be as it was muggled.) The little farm on the lake GC175FB
