Kékestetô is the highest point of Hungary, 1014m. The TV
broadcasting tower is 196m high. On the first floor hallway of the
look-out tower there's a miniglass collection with 8000 glasses
from 65 countries. In the second floor (45 m high) you can enjoy a
fascinating view. On the south there's a wide view to the Alföld,
on the east it's Bükk, on the west it's Mátra and to the north you
can see the mountains of Slovakia. In clear weather the High-Tatra
is visible too.
Kékestetô can be accessed from the road #24. The cache is 200
meters away from the parking place. Follow the blue-yellow sign
heading to the meteorologic metering station. The cache is a 20 x
20 x 7.5 cm box covered by stones in the side of a natural gap.
We wish you good weather and successful hunt!
Anikó and Miki
