Ces quatre colonnes de granite,encadrant un gibet,ont été
retrouvées sur une parcelle de terre appelée Park ar Justissiou,le
champ de justice. Elles symboliseraient le droit de justice
des
seigneurs de Kergroadès(17è siècle) On dit que la famille de
Kergroadès aurait surtout fait ériger ces colonnes afin de
dissuader quiconque de commettre un acte passible de
pendaison.
Néanmoins des condamnés à mort y ont été pendus,après s'être
confessés à la chapelle Saint-Charles,alors située à proximité.

A deterrent effect
These four granite colums surrending a gibbet were discovered on
a plot of land called Park of Justissiou,the field of justice.They
are believed to symbolise the right of the lords of Kergroadès(17th
century) to administer justice.It is said that the Kergroadès
family erected the columns principally to dissuade anyone from
commetting an act punishable by
hanging.Nevertheless,there were those condemned to death who hanged
there,having first made their confession in the chapel Saint
Charles situated close by.
