La Torre de Entre Ríos es la única torre marina con que cuenta el termino municipal de Los Barrios. En 1588, el comendador del los Hornos Don Luis Bravo de Laguna, comisionado por Felipe II, mandó la construcción de una atalaya entre los ríos Guadarranque y Palmones. Fue financiada por la hacienda real, dado que ocupaba tierras de realengo. Próxima a la playa y a la desembocadura del río Palmones, desde esta torre primero se vigiló la posible llegada de piratas berberiscos, luego, la llegada de navíos ingleses.

The Entre Rios tower is Los Barrios only maritime tower. In 1588, the Commander of Los Hornos Don Luis Bravo de Laguna was commissioned by Philip II to have a watchtower built between the rivers Guadarranque and Palmones. Since it was to occupy state territory, it was financed by the Crown. Located near to the beach and the Palmones river estuary, the tower first served to warn of the arrival of Berber pirates, and later to wach to English warships.
