Preko 1500 prisilno mobiliziranih delavcev iz Ljubljanske kotline, predvsem z Gorenjske, Hrvaške, Bosne in domacini, pricne z gradbenimi deli. Pri delih pomaga 500 ruskih vojnih ujetnikov in pozneje še nekaj 100 angležev, francozov in poljakov, ki leta 1943 usposobijo prvi agregat (za primerjavo He Blanca na Savi so gradili 4 leta) in drugega leta 1944. 5.aprila 1945 zavezniška letala odvržejo vec kot 800 bomb težkih do 500 kg na obmocje elektrarne. Poškodbe so odpravljene šele jeseni leta 1945 s pomocjo domacih strokovnjakov. Leto izgradnje: 1941 - 1955 prenova 1994 naprej Število turbin: 3 vertikalne Kaplanove turbine Pretocna polja: 4 Razlika med zgornjim in spodnjim novijem vode (padec): 8,9m Moc na pragu: 36 MW Letna proizvodnja: 142 miljonov kWh Akumulacijsko jezero: dolžina 10,2 km, volumen 5,6 milijona m3 ENG This power plant is the first generating stage on the Drava River in the Slovenian territory and it was the first pier-type power plant in Europe along with a similar plant in Lavamünd, Austria. Construction began during the World War II in 1941 due to high electricity demand for the war industry. . Over 1500 workers forcibly mobilized from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and locals, starts with the construction works. In the construction assisted 500 Russian prisoners of war and later some 100 Englishmen, Frenchmen and Poles, who in 1943 completed the first unit and another in 1944. April 5,1945 allied airplanes thrown more than 800 bombs weighing up to 500 kg in the area of plant. Damage was not repaired until the fall of 1945 with the help of local experts. With the launch of the third unit in 1955, construction was completed. The damage caused by Second World War in the vicinity of the cache can still be visible. It is possible that the damage was caused by the Yugoslav army, which before the arrival of the German army destroyed all the bridges on the river Drava.
