The Withyham Link is a fourth link that I have now added to the chain of walks that were published in the autumn of 2010. The others are the Ashurst Wood Link, Forest Row Link and Hartfield Link. They are all separate walks, but link up with each other, so you can do just one, or add two or more together for a much longer walk.
The Withyham Link is approximately 7 miles long, with 26 traditional caches. You can easily divide it into two separate walks by going directly from #10 to #24. The caches are mostly micros (no pencils), but 3 are bigger ones for your swaps. Although a lot of the walk is along good hard private roads, there are signs everywhere saying No Bicycles. Other parts of the walk are on sometimes muddy and hilly footpaths, with a small section of public road. Dogs are allowed, but will need to be kept on leads for some of the walk due to livestock and game birds. You will pass very close to four Pubs and a Coffee Shop so there are plenty of chances for refreshments.
