The Methodist Church in Neport Pagnell was constructed in 1815,
the year Napoleon was finally defeated. Slightly set back from the
high street the building looks strong and severe but has a kind of
elegance. The Methodists founded by John Wesley now came to compete
with the other churches in the town including the Parish Church,
the Independent Chapel and the Baptists. Wesley probably passed
through Newport Pagnell on his horse, on his way to Stony Stratford
to see his tree from under which he preached his message.
The Methodist Church in Newport Pagnell host the Willen Hospice
coffee shop.
The cache is a magnetic nano. It is easily accessible from the
street and is wheelchair and buggy friendly. As always with this
kind of cache you will need to bring your own pen / pencil /
crayon.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I
would just ask that you could let
Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church
numbers and names to avoid duplication
