Geocache Description:

This cache consists of four stages.  The first two stages you will be looking for a small container, each giving the coordinates of the next stage. The third stage is an easy to find ammo can. It is filled with a logbook, pen, the final stage location and some goodies to trade. The fourth is a virtual cache. I would have hidden something here, except the only good place to hide something would have required you to climb a barbed wire fence onto private property. So to do number four, you don't even need to leave your vehicle.

Because of the size of the first two containers and the number of places that a small container can be placed, I'm giving this cache site a four and a half star rating for difficulty. However, nothing is actually hidden, all containers are in plain sight, that is IF you are looking in the RIGHT spot from the RIGHT place. I'm not giving any hints, that's the whole idea of this cache. I hopefully made it tough to find.

However, I've decided to make this one an easy cache as far as terrain is concerned. Just about anybody can cover the ground on this one. For stages 1 and 3, you'll need to walk about 50 meters with a slight elevation change.  Stage 2 is just a few feet off a well maintained gravel road. Only rarely is a 4x4 needed on this road. If you are driving a 2x4 and it turns out to be one of those days. Don't worry, from pavement, the most you might have to walk is about 250 meters of level muddy or icy ground. The final stage is just off the frontage road heading back into Beaver, so you don't have to leave your car and you car doesn't have to leave the pavement.

In your write ups on this cache site, try and keep it as difficult for the next Geocacher as it was for you. PLEASE don't include any clues, spoilers or pictures showing the two small containers or their locations. Let's keep my delete option for log entries unused. Besides, don't you want the next person along to swear and think unkind thoughts of me just as much as you probably will.

However, any pictures of and around the ammo can would be great and I would look forward to seeing them. In fact, on 2/16/03, I've added a camera to the ammo can. Please feel free to take a picture or two THANKS------------
