Geocache Description:

Originally built in the 11th century, the church has an exceptional font of the 1120s. Until the new chancel was built in 1902 on the old foundations, St Mary's claimed to be the smallest parish church in England. The south doorway was built in the 13th century and the south porch is dated 1663. In 2009 the church has been completely refurbished with the help of Landfill Tax and generous parishioners. The cache is a magnetic 35mm pot, you may need to use stealth when retrieving, can be done as a cache and dash. “If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list”
