LB11-1982 Ra-Ra Skirts, Deelyboppers & Leg Warmers Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: Sorry for the slow archiving of this one; I've been away on holiday. Thanks for all the feedback.
Clearly gone, and since I'm going to archive the whole series as soon as I can drop by for a walk to collect containers, it's time I let this one go. Thanks for all the logs and sorry to everyone who DNF'd it. I hope the rest of the series helped make up for the hassle.

Geocache Description:

The Life Begins cache series is an autobiographical trail set to celebrate my turning 40 in November 2011. I've always said I prefer getting to my 40s to the alternative. Don't forget to answer the question in red on the log and make a note of the number! You should get four chances to get each figure in order to find LB40-Bonus!

This cache should not put up a fight.

Biography: In 1982 I learned to bicycle, after a few attempts around the age of five or six. I wanted my independance and after a shaky start, I got it. Some years later, while on holiday in North Wales, my dad, brother and I invented mountain biking while taking a 'shortcut' to avoid a much longer cycle on the roads near Snowdon.

Wider world: 1982 was the year of Channel 4 joining the television party, increasing choice by a whole 33%. The Queen was woken up by a strange man sitting at the end of her bed and Prince William was born. The Pope (JPII) paid a visit to the UK for the first time in 450 years (blame Henry the VIIIth) and Sony launched a pocket TV called the Watchman. You could watch Boys from the Black Stuff and Knight Rider on it. Disc cameras arrived - and soon left and BMX bikes were suddenly fashionable. The ZX81 was already old hat as the Sinclair Spectrum was lauched. The Falklands were invaded - and liberated - and The Young Ones were changing the established shape of comedy. Number 1 on my birthday: I Don't Wanna Dance by Eddie Grant.

Where next: Carry on to the corner of the field, where you'll see some strange objects, and turn left up the farm track towards LB12.
