Geocache Description:

I got this letter from Reginald Claus with a note that he would be pleased if I did make it's content known to geocachers all over the world.
Of course! It's an honor to do that. So here are this year's greetings from our much beloved Reginald (and if you are a bit in the dark about Reginald you can read up a on the background here, even though it DOES NOT relate to this mystery)

Cachemas Greetings From Reginald Claus

Dear fellow Geocachers,

Yes, soon it's here again. The time most people call Christmas, but also to a few of us known as Cachemas. I hope you all been good geocachers this year, that you’ve found plenty of caches and that your TB:s has travelled safely.
Whenever I meet someone in the field there is always one question that comes up: “How do you manage to bring all those presents in just one night? It’s not just possible!”
It’s possible, I promise. But it’s a lot of hard work, and nowdays, I admit, I rely on help from some very good friends.

The Cachemas Gnomes

Compared to Father Christmas my task has always been an easy one. I certainly do not need all that hi-tech, energy consuming, time-traveling stuff that he uses these days to manage.
Still with the growing number of cachers and caches it became harder and harder for every year to make it in time. It wasn’t as fun and rewarding as before with all that stress and pressure.
But then two years ago I had a visit from the gnome Bofur, seeking a position as my helper. I must say that I was more then happy to take him in. And my luck didn’t run out with that. Only a few weeks later we were joined by Dori. Together they helped me that winter. With their effort and hard work I for once had a little time to even enjoy myself again.
The next winter Balin, Gloin, Kili and Bifur joined us in that particular order. And then this year I had a visit from first Fili, and then Oin and Nori, all of them more than willing to help me out. They all tell me that we still miss their friend Bombur to make our company complete but so far no word has been heard from him.

On Christmas Eve the workload is divided by compass direction, all to minimize traveling. Here is a picture of the northern and eastern teams.

I'm happy to say that this years preparations are coming to an end and that we are more or less ready for that one special night of the year. All due to the hard work of my wonderfull friends The Cachemas Gnomes.
And if your lucky you might see us on our way to bring some happiness and joy to geocachers around the world.

Wishing you a Merry Cachemas
