The 8th Annual Caching Through The Snow Event will be held
Sunday, December 11th and will begin at 12:00 (noon) at the Brewpub
located at the above coordinates in Sparta, NJ. Please join us for
a bit of a holiday celebration and get together.
Although TRL has moved out west, NNJC will host one of the oldest
geocaching caching events in the NorthEast.
For you geocoin nuts, please bring your coins for showing and
swapping.
We hid nice new caches for you. Pre-event hikes will take place
again this year as described below. Hot chocolate will be served.
It seems that every other year Sparta gets hit by a major
snowstorms around this time. Hopefully, once again, there will be a
little snow so the event can live up to it's name.
The location for this event is a registered National Historic
Landmark. In the spring of 1999, this small restaurant became a
Brew Pub becoming the first state-of-the-art microbrewery,
producing handcrafted beers sold on the premise, to the fine
community of Sparta and the entire Sussex County region.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! The pre event hike
will be in the morning. Meetup with others to join the fun! I
recommend you head out by 8am if you want to grab all the caches
before noon. You do not have to complete all the caches but we set
up a nice loop for you. Or you can complete a few with ease. Hot
chocolate will be served from 8am to 10am at the hot chocolate
referenced cords. We should have enough parking just off of 23
before the event. Team up with others to leave room for
others!
LAST YEARS FUN!
Non mandatory pre-event hikes details:
will be posted here later
Please park in designated parking spots only!!
Coordinates of the caches will be placed on this post (and will be
available at the event) if they are not posted to geocaching.com
prior to the event.
