Geocache Description:

The cache box is the same one I placed over 10 years ago and the contents need some tender, loving care!!
Since placing this cache we have sold our house in Tayac and I am no longer be able to pay regular visits to maintain it so am relying on the kindness of other geocachers to replace full or wet log rolls with clean dry pieces of paper.

If you help me in this way I will add my thanks and give you personal mention in the listing. And if the box is broken I am happy to send a replacement box to anyone who can help and perform maintenance on this cache

I used to have a cache near the spring at the foot of the Chateau de Commarque but it disappeared into a large hole beneath the roots of a hollow tree! So I had to archive it and before I could place a new one somebody else put a cache close to the spot, which gives such a fine view of the impressive castle ruins.
My eventual replacement cache is in the woods nearby at the site of another fine ruin - a massive wall that many people following the main path would otherwise miss. Who lived here in this house? Why does this one wall still remain standing when all traces of the others have gone? How long will it stand in proud isolation? Please note that the cache is not in the wall but close beside it.
