Costruita nel V secolo per conservare le catene che avevano “trattenuto in vincoli” S. Pietro durante la sua prigionia a Gerusalemme. Al suo interno la tomba di Giulio II, con la gigantesca statua del Mosè, un’altra grande opera di Michelangelo scultore .
Basilica of St.Peter in Chains
Built in the V cent. to preserve the chains which were used to keep captive St. Peter during his imprisonment in Jerusalem. Inside the church is the tomb of pope Julius II, with the majestic statue of Moses, another great work by Michelangelo.
