LV: Babites pilskalns jeb Polu kalns ir 9m augsts ar 10x20m platumu. Kapu parvietošanas vareja mainit pilskalna sakotnejo izskatu. Zemgalu pamesta ostas nocietinajuma vieta pili 1224. gada celis Zemgales biskaps Lamberts. Driz sakas stridi par to, ka pils buveta uz Rigai piederošas zemes. Tiesa noteica precizas Rigas zemju robežas. Par biskapam atnemto un Rigai piespriesto Babates jeb sv. Marijas pili Rigas pilseta samaksaja 37 sudraba markas un palidzeja pie jaunas pils buves otrpus Lielupei. Vel 1935. gada pilskalna bija redzama 25 solus gara, ovala bijušas pils vieta. Vieta joprojam teoretiski skaitas Rigas pilsetas ipašums, bet škiet, ka ta ir visu aizmirsta šobrid. Vel pirms ~5 gadiem taka uz Babites pilskalnu bija viegli atrodama, uz tas bija neliela koka laipina pari gravim un koka pakapieni, kas veda kalna. Šobrid to visu var saskatit principa tikai, ja zini, ka tadas lietas bija. Slepnis ir neliela plastmasas kastite ar zimuli, logbuku un mantinam apmainai.
EN: Babites castle hill or Polish Hill is 9 m high with a width of 10x20m. Dune movement could change the original appearance of the mound. Castle was built at the place of Semigallian abandoned harbor fortifications in 1224th year by Zemgale Bishop Lambert. Soon disputes began about the fact that the castle was built on land belonging to Riga. The court determined the exact boundaries of the land of Riga. For the confiscated and awarded to Riga Babati or St. Mary Castle Riga paid 37 silver marks to the bishop and helped in the new palace building across Lielupe. In 1935th on the mound there still could be seen a 25 steps long, oval shape of the former castle site. The place still belongs to Riga, but it seems to be completely forgotten now. Some 5 years ago the path to the hilltop was clearly seen, there was a small wodden bridge over a trench and wooden steps to the hilltop. Now these can be found only if you know where they were.

EN: Even when getting to the info stand there might be problems finding the right path. Also the pats is very overgrown and it will be hard to get to the hilltop with bykes (allthough possible). Terrain is high because of this.
