Punkaharjulla sijaitseva Taidekeskus Retretti oli yksi Pohjoismaiden suurimmista taidekeskuksista. Paikkana se on ainutlaatuinen, koska osa näyttelytiloista ja 800-paikkainen konserttisali on louhittu maanalaisiin luoliin. Syyskuussa 2012 Retretti hakeutui kuitenkin konkurssiin ja kohteessa ei ole enää aktiivista näyttelytoimintaa.
Retretti-sana tulee latinasta ja tarkoittaa Retretin omien sivujen mukaan lepoa, viipymistä ja perääntymistä.
Retretti was one of the biggest art centres in the Nordic countries. It is a very unique site because a part of the exhibition area and concert hall with 800 seats have been excavated about 30 metres below groundlevel. In september 2012 the background organization filed for bankruptcy and therefore there is no active exhibition at the moment.
The name Retretti comes from the Latin word meaning to retreat or to withdraw.
