Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

Geocache Description:


Pendre is more a halt than a station on the preserved Talyllyn Railway, but is significant as the works serving the Railway where the locomotives and rolling stock are stabled and maintained. The works are not usually open to the public but can be seen from the platform.
from here you can catch a train the short distance to Tywyn Station where there is a narrow gauge museum, well stocked shop and refreshment room.
Or you could go up the line to Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol for walks in the woods and to the Bryn Eglwys quarry, or for a shorter ride to Dolgoch for the falls. You could also take in my caches at Sidetracked - Rhydyrhonen and Talyllyn Adventure though you would be hard pushed to find them and continue on the same train.
The cache is not on railway property.
