Geocache Description:

Minusio collina.

Minusio (Minüs in dialetto ticinese) è un comune svizzero del Canton Ticino, sul Lago Maggiore in posizione soleggiata. Il centro abitato tra i più antichi della regione con importanti necropoli dell'età del ferro e d'epoca romana, formato di diversi nuclei storici fusi negli anni cinquanta del XX secolo in un unico agglomerato urbano. Il centro principale si estende lungo la strada cantonale; i quartieri residenziali con ville signorili si sono sviluppati già nel primo quarto del secolo scorso; nella seconda metà si sono aggiunti vari palazzi di reddito multipiani nella zona a valle dell'arteria principale, quasi cancellando gli ultimi resti dei terreni agricoli.
