The trail is an extension (made in the summer of 2011) of the
already existing walking trail “Simosenpolku”, which
officially starts at the parking place “Romppasensalmi”
at the lake Jokijärvi. The new trail leads you over the bridge at
fireplace “Kantoniemi” through the forest and the big
swamp “Iso suo”. After “Iso suo” the trail
crosses the road Tyräjoentie and goes to the bird watching tower at
the small lake “Tyrälampi”.
The bird watching tower is reachable with a short walk of about
1 km. when starting from the road Tyräjoentie. The cache is a
small, round, flat box containing a small notebook with pencil and
a few exchange items. The cache is also findable in winter.
