FIN: Yhteiskunta ja Alvar Aalto Tämä geokätkö sijaitsee arkkitehti Alvar Aallon suunnitteleman rakennuksen kupeessa. Löytämällä geokätkön voi tutustua kansainvälisesti kuuluisan suomalaisen arkkitehdin suunnittelemaan taloon Helsingin Töölössä. Tuo talo valtaa omintakeisella tyylillään kokonaisen korttelin Taka-Töölöstä, eikä sitä siksi voi olla huomaamatta, jos katsoo ympäröiviä rakennuksia. Eittämättä aikanaan moderni talo kun poikkeaa ympäristön funkkistyylisistä asuinrakennuksista. (visit link) (visit link) Vaikka rakennus sinänsä on tärkeä, se kertoo myös suomalaisesta ja skandinaavisesta yhteiskunnasta. Talossa toimiva Kansaneläkelaitos edustaa suomalaisen yhteiskunnan erästä toimintoa – yhteiskunnan sosiaalista tukea kansalaisille. Ehkä juuri tämän takia Suomessa on hyvä asua.

ENG: Society and Alvar Aalto This geocache is in close proximity of a building that has been designed by an architect called as Mr. Alvar Aalto. By finding this geocache in Töölö district in Helsinki, you can see a building that has been created by the best internationally known Finnish architect. The building occupies a whole block in Töölö distinct and therefore you just cannot avoid finding it if you compare the style of the building to the surrounding buildings representing functionalism. (visit link) (visit link) Even though the building itself is important, the building also tells a special story about Finnish and Scandinavian style of living and society. The organization that is located in the building is called as “Kansaneläkelaitos” (The Social Insurance Institution of Finland) that co-ordinates social security for the Finnish citizens. This may be one reason why it is so pleasant to live in Finland.
Safety warning: Watch out the cars and traffic – this geocache can be found on the pavement/side walk. No need to step on the lane. Recommendation: This cache may be the best during the nights, so shouldn't you try it? Note: Take a pen with you, as there is no pen in this geocache.
