Anttolan yhtenäiskoulu sijaitsee Mikkelin Anttolan kaupunginosassa puhtaan luonnon ja Saimaan ympäröimänä noin 20 km Mikkelin keskustasta.
Koulu on aloittanut toimintansa uusissa moderneissa tiloissa syksyllä 2000. Koulu on noin 200 oppilaan uudenlainen peruskoulu, jossa toimii esiopetuksesta yhdeksänteen luokkaan yhtenäinen perusopetus. Yhtenäistämistä on tehty pedagogisesti, sisällöllisesti ja hallinnollisesti, näissä asioissa koulu on yksi pisimmälle kehitetty yhtenäinen peruskoulu Suomessa.
Koulu on mukana Comeniushankkeessa, jossa mukana ovat saksalainen koulu Horb am Neckarista ja ranskalainen koulu Me`Zenistä. Koulumme oppilaita vieraili Saksassa keväällä 2011 ja vierailu Ranskaan on syksyllä 2011. Saksalaisten ja ranskalaisten vierailu tapahtuu keväällä 2012.
Tähän hankkeeseen liittyen kätkössä on kulkija, jonka oppilaat toivat mukanaan Saksasta. Sen tarkoitus on kiertää ja kulkea takasin Saksaan.
Kätkön perustamiseen on koulun rehtorin lupa ja sijaitsee koulualueen rajaavien vihreiden aitojen ulkopuolella.
The Anttola Comprehensive School, surrounded by pure nature and Lake Saimaa, is located in Mikkeli, in the district of Anttola, Abut 20 kilometres from the centre of Mikkeli.
The school with its modern classrooms and facilities was started in autumn 2000. There are about 200 students enrolled to this new kind of unified comprehensive school, which comprises of levels from preschool to the 9th grade. The levels are not only administratively but also pedagogically intergrated, the whole school following a uniform curriculum, witch makes this school one of the most developed in Finland in the respect of unifield comprehensive education.
The school tekes part in a Comenius project, together with a German school from Horb am Neckar and a French school from Me´zin. Some of the students of out school visited Germany in the spring 2011 and a visit to France will take place in the autumn 2011. A return visit by the French and German students will take place in the spring 2012. Connected with this project, the cache contains a Travel Bug brought from Germany by the students. its aim is to circulate, and eventually to be taken back to its destination Germany.
A permission to establish the cache has been given by the school´s headmaster. The cache is situated outside the green fences that mark the school area.
