Geocache Description:

Le Tour d'Auzielle se poursuit. Après La Marcaissonne, cette cache est la septième de la série.

La cache se trouve aux coordinates donnees, mais on donne aussi les directions pour trouver ce letterbox a partir de la cache 'La Marcaissonne' [WP1] sans GPS.

Elle se situe dans un joli sentier qui va de la Marcaissonne au centre du village. Il vous faudra bien observer la paysage pour trouver la cache letterbox. Nous voulions placer une letterbox sur le tour d'Auzielle en souvenir de nos nombreuses visites à Dartmoor. Si vous voulez trouver cette cache comme à l'ancien, eteignez votre GPS et suivez les directions.

Partant de l'endroit où 3 pylones electriques servent de ponts pour traverser la Marcaissonne [WP1], vous suivez le sentier au sud-ouest. Puis tourner à droite et continuer. Vous trouverez pleins de mûres en été alors prenez votre temps, la cache sera vous attendre! Puis vous prendrez un sentier sur la gauche pour rejoindre le centre du village (2,4 km). Prenez ce chemin qui monte. Sur la gauche,vous chercherez un arbre sur un rocher. La cache est environ 20m plus loin encore, sur la gauche.

Il y a une tampon dans cette cache mais pas encore de l'encre. Ne prend pas le tampon, si vous plait.

Une fois que vous avez retrouvé la cache, notez le numero qui correspond à la lettre G. Ca va vous servir pour la cache Bonus.

Le premiere letterbox a Cranmere Pool, Dartmoor

Our tour of Auzielle continues. The cache can be found at these coordinates. If you would prefer to find this letterbox the old fashioned way, then switch off your GPS and follow these directions.

The cache is located in a lovely little valley that leads from the Marcaissonne back towards the centre of the Village. As this is a letterbox cache, you will need to observe the landscape to find the cache.

We wanted to place a letterbox cache on the tour of Auzielle because we have fond memories of Dartmoor, the home of letterboxing. On Dartmoor, it is traditional for letterboxes to be found by clues related to features that you pass and not a GPS. The clues to find this letterbox are very simple. If you want, switch off your GPS and find this letterbox the old fashioned way

Starting from the place where three old electricity pylons cross the Marcaissonne [WP1], you will need to follow the path South-West. Then turn right and continue walking. You will find lots of blackberries here during the summer, so take your time - the cache will still be waiting for you. Eventually you will come to a path on your left leading back towards Auzielle (2.4km). Take this path which will start to go uphill. Keep a look out for a small outcrop of rock with a tree on top of it, on the left side of the path. The cache is located about 20m further along the path, towards the forest, but if you reach the forest you have gone too far. There is a stamp in the box, please don't take it. You will need to bring your own ink but there should be a pencil or pen.

Be sure to note down the number corresponding to the letter G which you will need for the Bonus cache.
