Garden in the
Sea
[PT] A cidade do Funchal encontra-se disposta numa
espécie de anfiteatro natural formado pela baía, pelas montanhas a
norte e leste e por picos vulcânicos a oeste, o que faz com que a
zona urbanizada da cidade se estenda desde o nível do mar até à
cota dos 800 metros sendo que as montanhas a norte chegam a atingir
os cerca de 1800 metros de altitude nos pontos mais altos da
cordilheira central da ilha.
[ENG] The city of Funchal is a kind of natural
amphitheater formed by the bay, the mountains to the north and to
the east and to the west by volcanic peaks, which makes the city's
urbanized area extends from sea level to a height of 800 meters to
the north the mountains reach up to the 1800 meters the highest
points of the island's central mountain range.
Muitos designam esta cidade como um jardim à beira mar plantado,
pois aqui, são inúmeras as belezas naturais que podem ser

garden planted by the sea, here, there are a lot of natural
beauties that can be found. Since the famous Madeirian Quintas up
to the beautiful leisure parks which are the habitat of many exotic
and endemic species and the extensive green that characterizes the
highest parts of the city and that hides many natural wonders to
discover.

Como chegar até à cache? / How to get to the cache?
Siga pela E.R.204 na zona da Boa Nova, após passar pelo centro de
inspecções irá encontrar um cruzamento onde deverá virar à esquerda
para o Palheiro Ferreiro. Depois é so seguir as indicações do seu
GPS até ao Parking Area / Follow the ER204 and after passing the
inspection center you will find an intersection where you should
turn left to Palheiro Ferreiro. Then just follow the directions
from your GPS to the Parking Area.
Após iniciar a subida irá encontrar várias placas semelhantes
que o irão guiar até ao Parking Area/ After starting the ascent you
will find several similar signs that will guide you to the Parking
Area.
Estacione o seu Cachemobil no P.A. e aqui poderá desfrutar de
uma paisagem fantástica para a baía do Funchal, e da natureza
envolvente/ Park your Cachemobil in the P.A. ,here you can enjoy a
fantastic view over the bay of Funchal and the surrounding
nature.
Inspire-se com a vista e dirija-se até ao Poço que existe à
direita do Parking Area.Aqui encontrará uma pequena levada/ Get
inspired by the view and go to the Well located on the right. Here
you will find a small " Levada".
A partir daqui não há nada que enganar, é so subir e seguir o
pequeno percurso da levada até ao Spoiler 2/ From here just
follow the small path of the "Levada".
Ao chegar ao Spoiler 2 deverá seguir a pequena vala de terra à
direita que irá levá-lo até às próximidades da cache/ Arriving at
the Spoiler 2, follow the ditch on the right and you will get to
the cache location.
Tenha atenção que no GZ, o sinal do seu GPS poderá ser fraco,
nesse caso guie-se pela spoiler1/ Please be carefull in this area,
the signal of your GPS can be weak, in this case guide yourself by
the spoiler1.
