Da es uns jedes Jahr zum Tauchen in den Süden Ägyptens zieht, mußte doch dieses Jahr spontan ein Cache gelegt werden. Der Cache ist bei Ebbe gut von unten zu erreichen. Mehr Infos findet Ihr in der ausführlichen Beschreibung.
Ein ca. 600 m langer Steg führt zum Schutz des Riffs hinaus ans Meer. Das Riff bzw., die Wassertiefe beträgt hier ca. 12 m.
Es erwartet Euch ein wunderschönes intaktes Hausriff mit einer großen Fischvielfalt.
Delfine ziehen täglich am Riff vorbei. Wir haben einmal 10 Delfine gesehen!!!
Auch große Meeresschildkröten wohnen hier....
Doch nun zum Cache:
Euer GPS sollte Euch zum Steg führen. Wir hatten einen sehr schlechten GPS Empfang, deshalb gibt´s den Hinweis für alle:
Passt bei Flut auf eure Füße auf. Der Cache beobachtet nämlich von oben die Feuerfische.

Da wir logischerweise nicht regelmäßig dort vorbeikommen, um den Cache zu warten, bitten wir alle Mitcacher nach dem Rechten zu sehen und wenn nötig Logbuch oder Behälter zu erneuern. Bitte solche Änderungen und Statusmeldungen dann auch per Log mitteilen. Vielen Dank an alle.
This is the fourth year that we spend our holidays in South Egypt and therefore we decided to hide a cache.
A 600 meter long jetty leads you to a wonderful reef. At the entrance the depth is about 12 meters and you will find a huge variety of fishes. Also dolphins are passing through almost every day. One morning we saw a group of 10 dolphins passing close to the reef. Even turtles are frequent visitors.
Concerning the Cache:
We had a bad GPS signal but the coordinates should bring you to the jetty. Here the cache is watching from above the fire fishes, so please be careful where you put your feet especially during up tide. You have to count the pillars of the jetty. Have a look at the 21st on the left side.
Have fun and give our best regards to the fire fishes.
Unfortunately we will not be able to look after the cache frequently and therefor we would like to ask all the other cachers to help us in maintaining this cache. Please replace the logbook or container if necessary and post your changes within your log.
Siccome quest’anno è la quarta volta che passiamo le nostre vacanze nell’Egitto del Sud, abbiamo deciso spontaneamente di nascondere una cache.
Un pontile di ca. 600 metri serve per proteggere la barriera corallina e conduce a un mare bellissimo. La profondità del mare vicino al reef è di circa 12 metri e troverete una varietà meravigliosa di pesci e coralli. Anche delfini passano quasi quotidianamente vicino al pontile. Un giorno abbiamo visto passare un gruppo di 10 delfini. Naturalmente non mancano neanche le tartarughe in questo sito incantevole.
Ma veniamo alla cache:
Avevamo una pessima ricezione del segnale GPS ma comunque le coordinate vi conducono direttamente al pontile. Qui la cache ha una bella vista sui “fire fishes” quindi fate attenzione ai vostri piedi specialmente nel periodo di alta marea. In teoria si potrebbe prendere la cache anche da sopra ma noi consigliamo di prenderla da sotto anche per non farsi scoprire. Contate i piloni del pontile. Al numero 21 sulla sinistra troverete una busta di plastica.

Putroppo non siamo in grado di prenderci cura di questa cache in continuazione e per questo chiediamo a tutti i cacher di aiutarci con la manutenzione della cache. Per favore cambiate il contenitore oppure il libretto se dovesse essere necessario e communicate le vostre azioni attraverso il vostro log. Grazie mille a tutti.
