Geocache Description:

The Cissbury Circular is located to the north east of Cissbury Ring. Cissbury Ring is an Iron Age hillfort with outstanding views of the sussex countryside. It is also home of one of the UK’s oldest geocaches, “Florida Comes to Findon”, GC19B2

There are 17 caches in total and the walk is a little over 4 miles and should take around 2 hours. All of the caches are 50ml screw top containers. None have any pens or pencils, so please bring your own.

The cache locations should lead you naturally around the series; however, an OS map would be worth bringing as well.

Two suggested parking areas are listed on caches 1 and 13. The car park at Cissbury Ring can get busy at times. Both parking areas are free of charge.

The walk is mainly on chalk bridleways and footpaths and can get muddy and slippery, so hiking boots are recommended. The circuit is relatively hilly, but not too steep. The whole circuit should take around two hours.

Please, if possible, try to take the time to log your finds with more than just “TFTC” as we enjoy reading your comments when they come in.

We hope you enjoy this series. Anne and Tony.
