Visit the Lower Hudson Geocachers
Welcome to The Butler Series located in the Arthur W.Butler
Memorial Sanctuary. All the hides are named after some of our
favorite fictional butlers. They have entertained us, and given us
many good laughs throughout the years. Who doesn't love a funny
butler?
This is a series of 6 traditional hides plus 1 bonus hide (you
must locate all 6 six caches to be able to obtain the coordinates
for the bonus). Be sure to look under the lid of each container for
the numbers you'll need for the final coordinates.
The trails are well-maintained and clearly marked, and sticking
to the trails will be your best way to navigate from cache to
cache. We suggest starting with Cato Fong and working your way
counter-clockwise towards Lurch. Of course, you can always do the
caches in any order you prefer. The sanctuary is open from dawn to
dusk for your caching pleasure! Enjoy the rugged outcroppings,
wetlands, varied terrain, and wildlife throughout your hike.
There's lots to see here!
This cache highlights Benson. He was the head of household for
the really nice, but not so bright Governor Gatling. His "tell it
like it is" attitude kept us laughing for 7 great seasons.
