Euro (symboli €, lyhenne e, kansainvälinen valuuttatunnus EUR) on Euroopan yhteinen valuutta, joka otettiin käyttöön tilivaluuttana 1. tammikuuta 1999 ja käteisvaluuttana kahdessatoista EU-maassa, myös Suomessa, 1. tammikuuta 2002. Ennen euron käyttöönottoa Suomen valuutta oli markka. Yksi euro on täsmälleen 5,94573 markkaa, eli 1 markka on noin 0,17 euroa.
Euro täytti 10 vuotta 1. tammikuuta 2009, jolloin myös Slovakia 16. EU-maana otti sen käyttöönsä . Tällä hetkellä viralliseen euroalueeseen kuuluu seitsemäntoista EU-valtiota, neljä EU:n ulkopuolista kääpiövaltiota sekä eräät Ranskan merentakaiset alueet.

Before the introduction of the euro currency was the Finnish markka. One euro is exactly the FIM 5.94573, or 1 mark is about 0.17 euros.
Celebrated its 10th anniversary of the Euro on 1 january 2009, when the Slovak Republic, 16 EU as a country started to use it. At the moment, an official in the euro area comprises five p.m. EU countries, the four EU countries outside the dwarf as well as some French overseas territories.
