Slepnis atrodas Salas pagasta Varkalos, netalu no Lielupes un Varkalu ostas.
The cache is hidden in Varkali, Salas mun. near the Lielupe and port of Varkali.
LAT Šobrid Varkalu osta kluvusi par iemilotu vietu udenssportistiem, kugotajiem, makškerniekiem un atputniekiem (uzmanieties no svešam acim).
Senak osta kalpojusi ka parceltuve uz Jurmalu, jo Lielupes tilts uzcelts tikai 1962. gada. Toties ziema, kad Lielupe bija aizsalusi, vietejie iedzivotaji pari upei devas uz Jurmalu.
Netalu no ostas, upes krasta atrodas smilšu kapa, lidziga, bet izmeros mazaka neka Balta kapa, kas atrodas pie Priedaines.
Vakaros no kapas paveras skaists skats uz saulrietu un Jurmalu.
Lai pieklutu slepnim, nav jadodas pa celu, kas ved uz Varkalu ostu, bet gan, braucot no Rigas puses, jaiebrauc neliela sancelina pirms tam. Kad slepni esat ieraudzijuši, ludzu, uzmanigi izpetiet panemšanas veidu, neko nelauziet. Jo uzmanigak apiesieties, jo ilgak slepnis dzivos :)
ENG Currently Varkalu port has become a favorite place for watersport lovers, sailors, fishermen and vacationers (beware of muggles).
Previously Varkalu port was a ferry way to Jurmala as Lielupe bridge was built only in 1962. But in winter, when Lielupe was frozen, the local residents used frozen river as a way to get to Jurmala.
Near the port, there is sand dune, similar but smaller in size than the White dune (Balta kapa), which is located at Priedaine.
From the top of the dune in the evenings there is a beautiful view of sunset and Jurmala.
To access the cache, there is no need to go on a road that leads to Varkalu port, but enter the small track before when going from Riga. When you realize the cache place, please carefully check how to pick it up and don't break anything. The more carefully you will act, the longer the cache will live:)
