DIFFICULT TERAIN. TAKE CARE. Cache is hidden on top of ridge. Follow path between rocks to the ridge. Alt 1569ft. Cache is on left pinnacle from the path between the rocks. Please take a picture of yourself in cache area with camera provided. SD
This cache was placed just outside of Morton National Park in McDonald state forrest whilst visiting Porter creek dam. Follow the signs to the dam out of Milton off the Princess highway. The road is dirt/bitumen. Care must be taken crossing bridge as potholes often open up at the edges.
The area is home to some fantastic views and quiet picnic areas. My eyes were drawn up to the views as we traveled up the road towards the dam. Above were towering cliffs with overhanging edges and sheer faces.
The cache area was chosen because of the views it offered. The cache itself is a large snap-lok container with a note pad and camera inside.
The camera is provided so cachers can take pictures of themselves at the location. Once camera is full, please post up for "maintenance" and it will be replaced.
Cache is big so trackables are able to be placed!
