Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden a short walk from Willow Springs. Take the obvious track...

Willow Springs is the site of an old timber mill. There's not much left of it, but there is a campsite and picnic spot, and nearby is a "Eucalypt Walk" with a wide variety of specimen trees identified with name posts. We started from a little picnic site at S34° 02.791 E115° 55.667, which is a short distance from the main campsite. There's also some old-growth forest here, with some impressive karri trees (which don't help the GPS) and the usual forest wildlife (nissan reports having seen a seven-foot dugite in the area, so please take care).

While dogs aren't specifically forbidden in this area as far as I can tell, the area is subject to 1080 poison baiting, and if your dog eats a bait then its chances are not good.

The cache itself is a small ammo can which has been painted yellow. The cache is now a smaller cliplock container, we will have an ammo can back in place soon. Its original contents: 4 small plastic boxes, a bouncy ball, a pair of pliers, 2 g-clamps, 3 screwdrivers, a keyring, a small padlock, a roller-stamp, and a log book, pen, pencil, rubber and sharpener.
